Indian Restaurant · Langford, Victoria BC
Slow-cooked Indian food, the way Delhi taught us.
North-Indian cooking learned in the kitchens of the Taj Mahal Hotel, now served fresh from the tandoor at Belmont Market.
Our Story
Chef Giriraj Rana grew up in Krishna Nagar, a small village in Himachal Pradesh, where watching his father and grandfather cook lit a lifelong passion. He trained at Delhi's five-star Taj Mahal Hotel and later The Oberoi, where he rose to head chef and earned Employee of the Year.
After years cooking across Canada, he opened Authentic Cuisine of India at Belmont Market in Langford — serving genuine North-Indian food, slow-cooked in a clay oven with in-house sauces and original spices, just as he learned it.
“Everything here is cooked the slow way, the right way — exactly how I was taught.”
